Welcome to my blog. My amateur foray into blogging has been prompted by the sad demise of Dropship Horizon which was a prolific and fantastic resource for 15mm Sci Fi gamers.
I'm just an Average Joe, whose ideas and concepts far outstrip his ability, available time, and finances to paint, construct, or buy them. But I suspect there are many people who would put themselves into a similar category. So I thought it might be fun to share my trials and tribulations as I sucumb to my 'Ooooh Shiny' tendency and add, with no particular rhyme or reason, to my already enourmous lead mountain; along with my miniscule and vain attempts to reduce it. I hope this will make a small dent in the massive hole left by Dropship Horizon and keeps providing you, and me, with at least a small fix of 15mm Sci Fi gaming.
Consequenlty, whilst I aim to blog mostly about 15mm Sci Fi, my random approach to purchases and butterfly mind will no doubt lead me into the odd side track whilst I indulge myself with other areas of particular interest (Early WW2 and Ancients for example) and anything that is new, shiny, and something I can't resist - even though I have nothing else to go with it ! So that's the Magpie part of the title covered, the Irregular part is the time I have available and the many calls upon it. I aim to blog at least once a week, but things may slip when real life interrupts gaming, so I apologise in advance and hope you stay with me regardless.
Hopefully you will enjoy my highs and lows while I use this blog to help me to stay slightly more focused on the project(s) in hand.
